Obituary: Eric Rick Fontenot
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Rick Fontenot, a beloved member of the Lafayette, Louisiana community, who left this world on October 1, 2024.
Eric was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. Eric was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he spent his formative years surrounded by the vibrant culture and traditions of Acadiana.
From a young age, Eric displayed a passion for music and art, often participating in local festivals and events that celebrated the rich Cajun heritage. He graduated from Lafayette High School, where he was known for his infectious smile and generous spirit.
Following high school, Eric pursued a career in the construction industry, quickly establishing himself as a skilled contractor. His dedication to his work and commitment to quality earned him respect among his peers and clients alike.
He took great pride in building homes that became the backdrop for cherished memories for families throughout the area. Eric's craftsmanship was not just a profession but a reflection of his belief in creating spaces filled with love and joy.
