Justin Bingham Utah Obituary, Cause of Death: CEO of Opiniion Justin Bingham Dies After Canyoneering Accident; Loved Ones Mourns.

Justin Bingham, CEO of Opiniion, tragically passed away on October 5, 2024, following a canyoneering accident in Zion National Park, Utah. He was an avid outdoorsman, often spending his free time adventuring in nature.

During a trip through Heaps Canyon with three companions, Justin fell approximately 200 feet while rappelling, resulting in fatal injuries despite rescue efforts.

The group had been nearing the exit of the canyon when the accident occurred, and emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, though they were unable to save him.

Justin was known as a visionary entrepreneur, founding Opiniion, a software company focused on resident satisfaction, as well as several other successful ventures throughout his career.

His leadership left a lasting impact on those around him, both professionally and personally. Opiniion issued a heartfelt statement mourning his loss, noting his passion for building genuine relationships and his dedication to the company.

He was also a devoted husband and father, leaving behind his wife, Lindsay, and their four children: Turin, Ashton, Landon, and Ava.

Justin’s death has deeply affected both his family and the larger community, including friends, colleagues, and fellow adventurers.

The accident highlights the inherent risks involved in canyoneering, particularly in challenging terrains like Heaps Canyon, which requires technical skills and caution.

Bingham’s legacy as a family man, entrepreneur, and adventurer will be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

His company, Opiniion, announced that his co-founder, Devin Shurtleff, would step into the role of CEO following his passing.
